Student Council Elections at Yaqshid Education Compound
Tayo for education students recently participated in a robust and democratic election process to select the members of Tayo esteemed 2023/24 Tayo for Education Student Council. The school managed by Tayo for Education came together to democratically elected their student leaders as part of developing democracy among the learners and also improving the efficiency in learning providing a platform for learners to openly discuss and register their student affairs without interference of teachers.
As part of this process, candidates delivered eloquent and impassioned speeches in front of their fellow students, teachers, and staff members. It was heartening to witness the tremendous support shown by Tayo for Education at this event, and Tayo for Education take immense pride in the polished and articulate delivery of all the candidates who participated after a week of campaigns to convince fellow students to vote for them. The electoral body was thrilled to announce the results and congratulate the newly elected Student Councilors who will play a crucial role in empowering the students and giving them a voice in the development of Tayo for education school.
The Student Council will serve as an essential avenue for the students to have a say in shaping the school’s policies and activities. Through this platform, they will be able to express their ideas, concerns, and suggestions, and work collaboratively with teaching and non-teaching staff and administration to effect positive change. Moreover, the Student Council will provide students with numerous opportunities to develop leadership and communication skills, build confidence, and foster a sense of responsibility and ownership towards their school.
