During the many years of operation Tayo Umbrella schools have enrolled over 7000 students in schools who have excelled in their final academic exams with the last National exams (2023) having three students from Tayo Schools among the top ten nationally. Tayo has renovated abandoned schools equipped them with learning materials and trained over 150 teachers with modern teaching approaches something that makes tayo schools a hub of excellence. Tayo schools are spread evenly across the Somalia regions and plans to expand and reach every corner of Somalia Nation. Tayo Education Services Association’s Educational projects provide: classroom furniture, teaching materials and teaching assistance to schools that are not able to cover operational costs. Tayo Schools also train and build capacity of teachers with modern teaching skills to improve efficiency and quality of education provided. Tayo Education Services Association’s work in the Education field in Somalia has been ongoing for over ten years where there is grassroots mobilization of learning, innovative and emergency learning facilities are provided making Tayo a pioneer in the construction of quality school infrastructure which contributes to an enhanced learning environment for vulnerable students, orphans and widows.
