TAYO FOR EDUCATION ATTENDS THE FOOD SECURITY MEETING HELD IN BELETWEYNE

Somalia has been experiencing drought for the last more than three seasons which has always been replaced by frequent flooding thereby affecting the food situation in most regions leading to most families going without food.

Despite a worrying food security situation, sustained humanitarian assistance is mitigating the further deterioration of food security outcomes in many areas. For the current analysis period (January and March 2024), most rural livelihoods in the country are classified as Stressed (IPC AFI Phase 2)

Tayo for education attended the Food Security Cluster meeting for Hiran District that was conducted in Beletweyne to discuss the mitigation measures and response to the food security situation Somalia.

With proper partnership and assistance Tayo believes the food security situation in Somalia will be mitigated and finally Somalia will be food secure.
